I have a strong belief that motivation for engineering comes from aiming at a meaningful goal. A system design which sacrifices problem solving for profit is the graveyard of meaningful engineering.
I like to think of myself as a Hardware/Software guy who will gladly discuss referential transparency during a code review and the next moment take a circular saw to build a casing for a self made power supply.
My main interest are:
- Open source and Linux
- Software development processes - particularly Quality Assurance
- Low power electronics and simple mechanics
- Maker spaces and DIY culture
